A Comfy Outfit For A Chill Sunday

Jeans - Missguided (old)
Old Skool Vans - Asos

A very different vibe on the blog with this outfit. I fancied switching it up a little, going more on the casj side of things. The outfits I generally post, I would not wear day to day. Normally because a lot of them ain't that comfy, and ain't that practical, and deffo not suited to the current cold weather conditions. Not ideal for a chill Sunday shopping sesh. That was a lot of S's. Tongue twister?

What you need for a chill Sunday outing is a super soft, cosy hoodie. Nicce has sorted me right out in that department, with these two women's hoodies. I'm gonna go ahead and say it, I was well impressed with the quality of these. The material is honestly so soft. I'd go as far to say they've won top place for softest jumpers in my wardrobe, and that's a hard place to achieve - I mean, I've got a teddy bear jumper for gods sake. I can quite literally see myself living in these every evening after work. I actually can't wait to get home later and throw one of these on with my PJ's.

For my Sunday shop sesh, I wasn't quite feeling the PJ's and hoodie look, as much as I would like to live in that outfit. Instead, I went for the slightly more socially accepted choice of black skinny jeans. Can't go wrong really, can ya? I realise mine are basically torn to shreds, but they are by far the comfiest pair I own. By far. They stretch for days. The material is more like jeggings, but they are proper jeans, I swear. So comf. So comf in fact that I wore them to death when I first made the purchase, and made myself sick of them. Definitely got my moneys worth!

Which hoodie is your fave? The black or the beige?

Slip Dress - The Ragged Priest via Asos (no longer on site)
Boots - Unif via Depop

Can you believe I found this top on eBay? I couldn't find any like it on the high street, so I chanced a look on eBay - low and behold, they had exactly what I was looking for! I have soooo many ideas of ways that I want to style it, however I had to pair it with this Ragged Priest slip dress before anything else. It goes perfectly with the orange stripe down the sides of the dress, proper racer vibes. Stay tuned to see me live in this top for the next month...

The Silver Puffer

Silver Puffer Jacket - Urban Outfitters (old)
Stranger Things Tee - eBay
Vinyl Skirt - Primark

This silver puffer jacket is definitely a rediscovered gem of mine. My mum bought it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago and I was well pleased with it. Trouble was, I was struggling to style it. It’s deffo a statement jacket, and even though I can easily style my statement faux fur or faux leather jackets, this is a completely different kettle of fish. I didn’t even get it out last winter.

I really wanted to give it another go this winter, as I’ve beem seeing quite a few silver puffed jackets similar to mine. This time round, I’ve gone for mainly black, grime inspired outfits (will be back on the blog in Friday’s post), and I am loving the outcome!

Monochrome And A Pop Of Pink

Jacket - Asos (old)
Checkerboard Jeans - Nasty Gal (old)
Shoes - Pull and Bear (old)

It’s gotta be said, this is my fav outfit I’ve had in the blog in a loooonnngggg time. Ya know when you put an outfit on and you just yourself. You feel good in it. This is that.

I really love monochrome outfits with a pop of colour, and this bright pink faux fur jacket does that perfectly. I picked it up in the Asos sale a couple of years ago, and never looked back. It’s by far my fav faux fur coat, and the only one I’ve really worn this winter.

Checkerboard print is another thing in absolutely loving right now. I’ve been wearing these Nasty Gal jeans to death. Normally I will style them with a basic slogan tee, but thought I’d push the boat out today and go for a mesh tee and bralette combo. Loving the outcome. I’ve also just ordered a mesh checkerboard top, which I am very excited to arrive. Watch this space.

Yet Another Ripped Jeans and Fishnets Outfit

Slogan Tee - Nasty Gal (no longer on site)
Ripped Sequin Jeans - Liquor N Poker (no longer on site)
Just like basically everyone else, I’m loving slogan tees at the moment, to the point where they’re like, all I wear. This Nasty Gal one is a particular fav - I’ve tied it up a bit too much to be readable in this outfit but it says ‘Don’t be a dick’. All the sass. Nasty Gal have got some pretty good slogan tees on their site, so if you’re after one I’d recommend looking there!

Beating the January Blues with Cropped Jumpers and Vinyl Jeans

Fluffy Cropped Jumper - Asos (old)
Vinyl Trousers - Topshop (no longer on site)

Ya gal's the WORST case of the January blues, no joke. It has been SO gloomy and dark in London, and the fact that I literally have nothing to look forward to this year is dragging me way way down. I thought I’d post some bright yellow pics on my blog, because I want it to be Spring SO MUCH. I’m so over winter. I was never on winter to start with, but I am soooo over it.

To be honest, my outfits are reflecting my mood a lot recently. There’s just a whole lotta black. I find myself trying out colourful styles quite a lot, and for most of last year my outfits were VERY colourful. But I also seem to float back to black. It’s those grunge vibes, I just can’t resist. ANd now I have Amy Winehouse Back to Black stuck in my head.

A More Casual Night Out Outfit

Harley Davidson Tee - Vintage
Vinyl Skirt - Primark

I’m sure I’ve mentioned on this blog before, but I’m really not the dress and heels kinda gal. Usually I’ll go out in a crop top/nice top, jeans or a skirt and finish the look of with my trusty old skool vans. When I’m drunk and dancing I care more about my feet being comfy than looking posh in heels. And tbh, I quite like how vans/trainers look with a night out outfit.

Sometimes though I do like to make a little bit more effort, and brave the heels. This normally means a pair of chunky boots with a block heel, or these velvet babies. As I’m sure you’ve gathered from reading this, I’m really not all about posh night out outfits, so for a more casj look I’ve gone for my Harley Davidson tee tucked into my beloved vinyl skirt. The fishnets and mesh top layered underneath just add a little somethin somethin.

Styling Vinyl Trousers AGAIN

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Stranger Things Tee - eBay
Aviator Jacket - Primark
Vinyl Trousers - Topshop (no longer on site)
Boots - Unit via Depop

I love taking outfit pics around Greenwich, however I do not love the long-ass treck up and down the massive hill in the park (if you've been there you will appreciate just how big this monster hill is) to get to and from my car. I have to park up there as it's all resident or ridiculously expensive parking down by the market and shops, but I really was not fancying the hill on this particular day. We thought we'd chance it, park without paying, and take some pics in quick time. Unfortunately, the ticket inspectors were out in full force. We sighted one down the end of the road, I did the awkward 'I'm wearing heels' run back to my car, and managed to drive away literally seconds before she would've given me a ticket.

We got a few good shots, but annoyingly no sitting on the floor ones, and you all know how they're my fav, boo.

Don't Look At My Back

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Tee - Nasty Gal (no longer on site)
Jeans - Cheap Monday (old)
Belt Chains - eBay
Boots - Unit via Depop
Jacket - Pull and Bear (old)

I always try to make simple a jean and tee outfit a little less simple and a little more interesting. I've gone for double jeans chain (I picked these up from eBay for a measley £8 each!), cos just wearing one is no longer enough. To match the rocker vibes of the jeans chains, I've thrown on my studded faux leather jacket (which I haven't had out in ages). Obvs I couldn't not wear the super chunky boots that I've literally been wearing in every outfit post recently (soz).

The tee, from the front and with my jacket on, looks like a basic white t shirt, and I'm kinda digging that vibe. Just wait till ya see the back!
