I’ve gotta say, this outfit is by far the best outfit (IMO) I’ve had on the blog in a long time. Monochrome with a pop of colour never fails to look good. For me, that colour is rarely red, and in all honesty, I wasn’t sold on the red trend at first. However, times change, minds change, and cosy af teddy sweaters come into lives. I couldn’t resist buying this jumper; it’s the softest, warmest thing and is going to do me a treat in the Arctic winter conditions.

The checkerboard trousers are a very new purchase, and my first off Nasty Gal. Tbh, they’re really not the best quality, but I’d been looking for a pair exactly like this for AGES, and these are the first I’ve come across. The other ones I’ve seen are all baggy, and I’m not all about that. At the risk of them ripping whilst sitting down, I'm keeping them. I also picked up a couple of sassy slogan tees (see them on my Insta), and they are much better quality. I feel like Nasty Gal is very hit and miss, just like Boohoo.

The Sassiest Slogan Tee

Aviator Jacket - Primark
Sequin Skirt - Primark
Baker Boy Hat - Sacred Hawk via Asos

I'll say it once, I'll say it again; Primark have been absolutely killing it recently. In a recent post a styled up a killer tweed (two words I never thought I'd say in a sentence together) blazer I snapped up for 20 quid, and today I'm bringing you two more of my fave Primark finds; aviator jacket and sequin skirt. Both amazing on their own, both amazing together, and I literally can't get enough of either of them.

I went for the sassiest of sassy slogan tee's to casj down the skirt a bit. 'The Girl He Tell You Not To Worry About', come on, as slogan tee's go, you can't get much better than that. Although, I have recently picked up a couple more from Nasty Gal, so watch my Instagram for those!

Stranger Things Is Life

Jeans - Cheap Monday (Old)
Boots - Unif via Depop

I know no one who's not obsessed with Stranger Things. Probably why when I went to add a Stranger Things tee to my basket on the Topshop website, I was greeted with the dismal 'sold out' pop up. Same with every other piece in the Stranger Things collection. It probably also has something to do with Zoella sporting some of the pieces in her recent vlogs. Damn it. I should thank her really, I knew eBay would have something similar and for a fraction of the price. I was right. 8 quid this set me back. And I'm sure it's just as good quality as the £20 Topshop versions.

Tweed/Check Blazer - Primark
Mesh Tee - Missguided
Ripped Bum Mom Jeans - Asos
Chunky Boots - Unif via Depop

Blazers seem to be making a bit of a comeback this season, and I fancied trying to style up my (fairly) new tweed Primark purchase, but with a grunge twist.

I originally bought this to wear for work during the Autumn months, and had no plans to wear it as part of a normal everyday outfit, and definitely did not think it would be worming it's way onto my blog (or Instagram). Safe to say, I'm loving how I've styled it up. I've gone for my Asos Farleigh ripped bum jeans (actual fave jeans at the moment), and the classic mesh top and triangle bralette combo. Of course, I'm wearing my beloved Unif boots and baker boy hat, because honestly, I've worn both these items pretty much every single outfit over the past month, and ya gal ain't getting bored yet. Soz if you are.

How To Wear Sequins Low-Key

Sequin Skirt - Primark
Baker Boy Hat - Sacred Hawk via Asos

I'm not sure I've mentioned on my blog before, but I'm actually vegan, which obv means I don't buy any leather products anymore. This also means, when a brand brings out a collection of vegan shoes, I'm all over that. T.U.K have done just that, and I couldn't resist this cute pair of ankle boots. The leather is super soft, and you honestly couldn't tell it's not animal skin leather. All the goodness without the cruelty.

I paired the boots with my new Liquor N Poker denim jacket, which has this badass 'King Cobra' design covering the back. My wardrobe has been lacking a black denim jacket for years, and this one fits the bill perfectly. I went for a men's XL as I wanted it to be super oversized, and tbh it's really not as big as I was expecting; pretty much the same size as my other denim jackets. Love it, though. And lets not forget this amazing silver sequin skirt; can you believe I found this beaut in Primark!? I've seen a lot of sequins this season, I mean they obviously come round every year for Autumn/Winter, but this year I've seen a lot. Especially on shoes. May have to get me some of those.

Let's talk about the title of the post; how to wear sequins low-key. Sequins are statement for sure, but you definitely can wear them as part of a casual outfit. I've simply styled the skirt with a cropped jumper, denim jacket and ankle boots. Swap out the fishnets for normal tights and you've got ya'self an Autumn outfit.

I Call This Look; Bratz Doll Chic

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Aviator Jacket - Primark
Mesh Bodysuit - Missguided
Platform Boots - Unif via Depop

Just call me the fifth Bratz doll - I could totally make the cut of being in the gang sporting frill flared jeans, super platform heels and a funky hat. Would you agree? Tbh, I was worried that pairing the jeans with the platforms would be a little bit OTT, and it probably is, but I can't get over how sick they look together. You could totally make this a bit more casj by swaping the mesh top with a slogan tee, either tucked in are tied up at the waist, a look I'm definitely going to give a go myself.

My Thoughts On The Cropped Jumper Trend...

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

*Jumper - Romwe (sold out)
Jeans - Asos

Romwe always seem to have a lot of very on trend pieces, for cheaper than high street prices. I know for some people sites like Romwe can be very hit or miss, but for me, everything I've picked up from there has been a hit. This jumper being the biggest hit yet. Pretty decent quality for it's price, and bang on trend with the embroidery, puffy (is that the right word!?!?) sleeves and slightly cropped. I know this jumper is quite cutesy, with the pink floral embroidery, but in true Alice style, I had to pair it with a choker, black ripped (at the bum) mom jeans and chunky shoes, to create all the grunge. I will never be over 90's fashion, soz.

Let's talk about cropped jumpers. They're everywhere, to the point where it's difficult to find a full length jumper. I know, I know, this jumper isn't fully cropped, but it's deffo not full length. I'm cool with that. I keep seeing people ranting on twitter about they're being too many cropped jumpers around, and what's the point a jumper that's not going to keep you warm. The point is they look sassy af, and I will take all the consequences of a chilly mid drift to walk around in my black fluffy Asos number. Cropped jumpers are one of my fave trends this season, and I can't wait to style a few more up!
