Joggers and Heels 3.0

Top - The Ragged Priest (no longer available)
Joggers - Missguided (no longer available)
Chunky Boots - Unif via Depop

You've caught me in joggers and heels again... (see the other two looks here and here).

Aren't they just the most amazing joggers though? I wanted a slim leg, somewhat interesting pair of joggers to wear out and about, so I can be hella comfy but still look a bit of alright. Originally, I was going to get a pair of Adidas joggers. Standard. However, Missguided slayed me once again, and I couldn't say no to this lace up monochrome beaut of a pair. I've honestly never seen a pair of joggers like this before. Jeans and trousers, yes. Joggers, no. Annoyingly, they had sold out of 8's and 10's, so I was forced into getting a 12. Tbf, it doesn't matter too much that they're a bit big, as I can just hoist the waist in.

I thought I'd go head to toe monochome, and whack at my beloved 'Not Interested' tee. I mean, I took these photos a few weeks back when you could still get away with going out in just a tee. Nowadays, I'd probably throw on my Primark aviator jacket, so's not to freeze to death of a chilly Sunday morning.

Black Mom Farleigh Jeans - Asos
Boots - Asos (old)
Jeans Chain - eBay

I just realised almost this whole outfit is Asos, oops. So, I met up with my blogger babe Lucy (http://www.ljlv.co.uk) this weekend to shoot some outfits, and did we shoot some outfits. We managed to shoot a grand total of six outfits in under three hours, which I think is pretty goddamn impressive, seeing as we were doing the quick change in the Maccy D's cramped loo's.

I'm loving a casual, comfy, but still put together outfit at the moment, and I think I've hit the nail on the head with that here. Jeans and jumper is a comfy classic. Black mom jeans (with rips at the bum might I add), and a sassy slogan jumper gives a laid back, grungy vibe. Add a couple of accessories like a jeans chain (these are everywhere at the moment) and a funky choker, and you've got yourself a pretty rock n roll outfit. With little effort involved and maximum comfiness.

The Aviator Jacket | Another Bargain Find

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Aviator Jacket - Primark
Boots - Unif via Depop

I find Primark very hit and miss, but when it's a hit, it's a hit. Prime example is this Aviator jacket. I wanted one last year, but every high street one I saw was £60+, and I wasn't fancying a splurge. Good thing I didn't in the end, because last weekend I spotted this one in Primark. I'm just gonna go ahead and say, this is probably one of the best pieces I have ever bought from Primark. Purely because the quality of it honestly feels like a £90 one you'd find in Topshop or Urban Outfitters. It's super warm, thick and soft, yet only £30.  It's the steal of the season. If your on the hunt for one of these baby's, I'd say get yaself down to Primark and pick one up before they sell out.

I've gone for a pretty casual outfit. A slogan tee, black mom jeans and my chunky Unif boots. A pretty decent Autumn outfit, I'd say!

The Cosiest Jumper Ever

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Fluffy Cropped Jumper - Asos (no longer on site)
Chunky Boots - Unif via Depop

I'm gonna go ahead and say it; I have rediscovered my love of all black outfits. I was absolutely loving wearing colour for the past year or so, but honestly, black is wear my heart lies. The grungey/gothic vibes are to much for me to reject any longer.

So, my most recent fav combo is my ripped bum Asos Farleigh jeans, paired with a jeans chain. Two items I've seen multiple times over on the Gram, and two items I just had to have (naturally). I was after a pair of plain black mom jeans anyway, so when I saw these cheeky things on Asos, I thought I'd just kill two birds with one stone and pick them up. I've never bought Asos jeans before, but I am impressed, I have to say. I can't deal with high waisted jeans that are constantly slipping down, and these are the kinda of ones that will actually stay put. They actually fit me as well. Jeans that fit me round my legs are usually too big round my waist, but these fit perfectly - I was shocked. It's a yes from me. The jeans chain is just a cheap one I found on eBay, but it looks pretty bad ass with the black jeans.

My latest jumper purchase is this fluffy hug of a jumper, also from Asos (surprise). I know some people don't understand cropped jumpers, but I think they look sick, especially layered over mesh. And honestly, this is one of the warmest jumpers I've ever put on, so I forget that my belly is on show anyway!

How I Style Chunky Unif Boots | Sequins and Mesh

Sequin Playsuit - Motel via Depop
Mesh Body - Missguided
Chunky Boots - Unif via Depop

Featuring yet another bargain of a Depop find in this post - my sequin Motel playsuit. I found this baby NEW WITH TAGS for 12 quid a couple of months ago. 12 quid!!?? Crazy cheap, bearing in mind what Motel charge for their sequin pieces. If you didn't catch my last post, my other bargain Depop find was these super chunky Unif boots. They're in good enough condition to be new, and I managed to snap them up for half of what Unif would have charged me. They go hand in hand with the mesh body/sequin playsuit combo, adding all the grunge vibes.

How I style Chunky Unif Boots | Jeans and Tee

london street style, uk fashion blogger, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Super Chunky Unif Boots - Depop
Ripped Sequin Mom Jeans - Liquor N Poker (old)
Tee - Missguided (old)
Mesh Bodysuit - Missguided

I have possibly the most exciting news ever. I found a pair of the infamous, super chunky Unif boots on Depop. In my size. For £60. They're in pretty much perfect condition and I am in lurvvveee. I've wanted a pair of super chunky stompers for years - emphasis on the years. The only prob was that the only shops I could find that sold boots this chunky, also charged over £100 for them. I could never really justify spending that much on shoes. Then I spotted these beauts on Depop last weekend, and you can understand why I had to buy them straight away. The girl was selling them for like half the price they would be new, AND JUST LOOK AT THEM. PERFECTION.

They instantly change the dynamic of any outfit. I mean in this outfit, I'm layering up a mesh body underneath a super cropped tee (ok, it's makeshift cropped, I tied it myself, but it still counts right?), two trends I'm loving right now. Those pieces paired with my beloved ripped sequin jeans makes a pretty bad ass outfit, but the boots just complete it. If I didn't have the stompers, I probably would have just picked my Old Skool Vans, which I love, but wouldn't have looked half as good.

So today's advice - if you really want a piece of clothing or some shoes you can't afford, have a look through Depop and eBay. You never know, you might find yourself a bargain!

I've wanted a pair of ripped mom jean style dungarees for ages now, and couldn't pass up this pair from Romwe. The denim is pretty decent quality for how cheap they are, and I'm loving layering them up with fishnets.

Pink Velvet Bralette - Not on site
Vinyl Skirt - Primark (Similar Here)
Harness - Pretty Little Thing (no longer available)

I think pink and black are becoming my signature colours. Not intentionally, it's just that every outfit I throw together recently seems to revolve around these two colours. The newly pink hair doesn't help the situation either. Tbf, I do quite like pink and black together.

This harness from Pretty Little Thing was a recent purchase. I kept seeing girls on Instagram style faux leather harness' up underneath little tops, and I couldn't help but buy one for myself and jump on the bandwagon. I have a couple of elastic-y material harnesses, but the faux leather ones just look so much more bad ass. Especially paired with a studded faux leather jacket. Although I'm so sad we are back to jacket season again.

I Could Be Chanel #6

london street style, how to style fishnets, grunge outfit ideas, grunge outfits, grunge blogger, uk fashion blogger, street style blogger, london fashion blogger

Before you all start judging me, I can confirm that I do in fact have a pair of shorts on under my Adidas tee. Back in day, when I was like 17/18, I used to wear big t-shirts as dresses all the time. Thought I'd bring that back today, and try and work it into my evolved style. Back then, I would've gone for a pair of OTK socks or just plain black tights. Those have been replaced by fishnets, cos y'know, fishnets are having a thing right now. Can't say I'd wear knee highs/OTK socks any time soon, I feel like they've been and gone and I wore them to death, but I would deffo consider swapping out the fishnets for a pair of 60 deniers on a chilly Autumn morning.

I've gotta bring up the coat as well. In my younger years, I would have gone straight for one of two jacket options; my massively oversized denim Levi shirt, or my equally massively oversized vintage fringed leather jacket. I still, to this day, have both of those pieces, not that I ever wear them. They've been replaced by funky faux fur coats like this snuggly beaut from Pull and Bear. I emphasize the 'snuggly' because it's big and soft and comparable to wearing a dressing gown. I dressing gown coat is just the dream on a cold day right? Especially when it makes you look like Chanel from Scream Queens. Hence the title of this post.

I'm excited to stock up on cropped hoodies and jumpers for this season. Realistically, not the warmest for Autumn, but they're going to be bigger than last year, and I'm looking forward to pairing them up with mesh bodysuits and high waisted mom jeans.

I have exciting news.... I've just made my very first Ragged Priest purchase, woohooo, everyone cheer, mexican wave! Honestly, I have lusted over those beautiful pieces of clothing heaven for god knows how long, but never fancied paying £30 for one t-shirt. Thought I would treat myself though, because why not. The time finally came. Plus, no t-shirt has ever described me more accurately than this here one. Plus plus, it goes perfectly with ma new patent skirt (which, I styled with another sassy slogan top HERE)

I'm a magpie, I swear. I'm magnetised to shiny clothes, I can't help myself. I mean, metallic rose gold joggers are a bit out there, but I thought I could give them a go. Paired with all black, I think they can work.

Releasing My Inner Goth

Patent Skirt - Primark (similar here)

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it; Pull and Bear is my new fave shop. They do some sassy-ass pieces, plus everything is super cheap. Guess how much my new sassy slogan jumper was... go on guess. You guessed yet? Was a tenner mate, absolute barg.

I feel like this skirt was also a good find. I've been wanting a patent, PVC looking skirt for a while now, but never enough to actually go out an buy one. I spotted this little number in the Oxford Street Primark for a measly £8, and couldn't resist. I dunno about you, but I only really buy clothes from Primark now that look like they could be from Topshop or somewhere. Anyone else? Or does that just make me sound well snobby ha! Anyways, the skirt is gooood, I'm liking it. Would not recommend for hot sunny weather though.

Obviously the Primark site is a pile of poop, so I've linked a very similar version.
