These may be my fave nail polishes yet...
From what I can gather, the idea behind the new *O.P.I Colour Paints is crazy nail art. They have this magical formula that makes nail art super easy, because the colours blend together so goddamn well. Seriously, they actually do. I've tried it. In the swatches above, the nail polishes don't look particularly opaque, but I've this amazing for layering them together. The colours pop over the top of the silver undercoat, and I've been layering them on top of each other. It creates a really unique effect where the top colour is opaque in some areas, but clear enough in others to let the colour below show through - but more on that later.
The brush is also amazing. Can I just say that, I fail at nail art. I just cannot get the hang of it - the nail polish always smudges and runs everywhere, even trying to do simple polka dots fails big time. This may have something to do with the formula as well, but the brush makes it so easy to create cute little designs. I actually painted on a perfectly straight line, fairly easily. That is like groundbreaking for me - I actually made nail polish look nice on my nails! Winning brush right there.
And there's the straight line I was talking about. I used Turquoise Aesthetic layered on top of Purple Perspective (pictured below), and it creates a really pretty mermaidy teal colour. Not too mention the ridiculously glossy finish as well - and that's without a top coat! There's different greens and blue tones created by the shades being layered up - I love it.
Order of layers - Silver Canvas Undercoat, Chromatic Orange, Pen & Pink (ring finger Purple Perspective instead of Pen & Pink)
What are you thoughts on O.P.I's Colour Paints?

Chromatic orange is gorgeous, that just looks like the PERFECT autumnal colour - gorgeous! I always am a bit hesitant at purchasing OPI nailpolishes just because of the price, but the bottles are generally bigger than most nailpolishes! xx

This polish set looks so great! I love the idea of a silver undercoat - such a clever idea to make the most of the colours and give them a bit of a metallic feel. The orange and turquoise shades are my favourite I think :) x
