OOTD : The Tartan Skirt

Tartan Skirt - New Look
Vintage Shirt - ASOS Market Place
Backpack - Primark (Old)
Shoes - Primark

Feeling like I should be trotting off to sixth form in Monday's outfit.  Nope.  Just the first day back of third year.  The final year...  The thought of leaving uni forever next July, is not appealing in the slightest.  I cannot imagine myself venturing out into the big wide world, getting a 'proper job'.  Do I even want a 'proper job'?  Do I want to 'grow up'?  Nooooooooooo.  God, I still feel like I'm 17 or something, and that ain't good.  I wish I was 17.  17 was a good age.

Enough dwelling over the future, and on to the outfit - I'm not usually a massive fan of New Look, but how perfect is this tartan skirt going to be for the Autumn!  I'm just picturing wrapping my legs up in some woolly tights, and throwing on the chunky boots I may or may not have accidentally ordered from River Island on Sunday...  But for the moment, while we are all savouring the last of the warm summer sun, I of course, stuck with my forever pale bare legs, and my fave rediscovered lost gem - the snake print shirt.  I love a bit of print clash at the mo.

  2. Love this outfit on you! Tartan is one of my favourite things to wear this time of year. I seem to just end up buying more and more of it! It's a terrible habit! Also, I've just gone into my third year and strangely I feel ok about leaving next year. Maybe I wont when it comes to it but atm this year is looking so stressful that the thought of no education sounds very appealing!

Great look :) looking forward to seeing your new boots!!

  15. In my head I'm still 17 as well, which at 22 is either a sign of early senility or a case of me living the past (I'm not too sure which)! I love that outfit so much, the skirt is gorgeous and the shirt you've layered over it is so cool :) xo

  22. I'm a third year too but lucky for me I'm on my year abroad at the mo (woop woop) so don't have to think about actually being an adult for another couple years. I am in love with this transitional weather - there's just something about cosy looking outfits with bear legs that I cannot get enough of. And that shirt, urgh, drooling every time.
