Floral Vest Top - H&M (Old)
Bralet - River Island (Old)
Shorts - Urban Outfitters (Old)
Chunky Sandals - New Look

As a Uni girl who is running out of money at a rate that is much to quick for comfort, the luxury of new clothes is simply a mere dream for the moment.  Anyone else agree that we should get student loan over the summer, especially due to the fact that some of us are made to pay stupid rent for a stupid house that we aren't even living in!  Someone needs to enlighten the student loan man that jobs ain't easy to come across!  And being that girl who gets bored of her clothes after the first week of buying them, saving my last pennies for rent is not ideal.

Finding, reworking and restyling old clothes in new ways is the only option right now, and I'm actually surprised at some of the outfits I've managed to throw together.  Getting a bit impressed with myself, eh?  Up-cycling is always an option, particularly if your a bit nifty with the whole sewing thing.  I am not.  This makes me scared that I will ruin clothes so I just tend to stay away from that area.  Remember that kimono I made in this post?  Yeah, it fell apart... I've found experimenting with old pieces, and wearing them in ways you haven't done before to make them more relevant is always a good one.  Like, I'm going to have fun layering with this bralet.  Glad I rediscovered that one yesterday!

*When I say 'old', I mean within the last couple of years.  I know this may not mean old for some, but it does for me.
**I apologize for the bad quality photos.  The sun was not in my favour!

  8. I so agree about the whole student loan over the Summer thing. Paying rent on a house I cannot even live in makes me want to die. This is such a cool look though! xo

  17. Personally, I'd love it if school loans came with a clothing budget :P but in all seriousness, I love reworking old things, especially things from my mom's closet. I love your idea of layering a crop top over a vest top---I might have to try that this week.

  24. Ahh, I'm going to be a uni student soon and I'm moving across the country, so my wardrobe is going to decrease a lot, since it's hard to move it thousands of miles away. I guess I'll have to be nifty like you to get the most out of my clothes.
